Comprehensive Training Program for All Levels

We welcome applicants at every stage of their career journey. Whether you’re just starting out or bringing years of experience, we value your willingness to learn, positive attitude, and commitment to hard work. Our comprehensive training program is tailored to each person’s current skills, knowledge, and experience. Here’s what to expect:

  • Initial Orientation (First Two Weeks): New employees are paired with an assigned trainer. This introduction period helps you get acquainted with the team, understand our processes and procedures, experience our culture, meet our customers, and learn the “Wells Brothers Way” of delivering high-quality work.
  • Ongoing Skills Development: Following the initial orientation, employees continue working with their trainer based on their role, experience level, and learning needs. We maintain consistency by keeping new employees with a core group of trainers and co-workers, fostering strong relationships and building confidence with newly acquired skills.
  • Continuous Assessment and Growth: Throughout the program, trainers and our OJT/Quality Manager evaluate each employee’s developing skill set on the jobsite. They identify skills that have been acquired, learned, and mastered while also spotting opportunities for growth based on available job assignments and training opportunities.
  • Flexible Program Duration: Training programs can extend up to six months, with the exact duration determined by the specific position and individual progress.

Apprenticeship Program

Our Apprenticeship Program connects high school seniors with one of our divisions based on their studies and interests. Most apprentices join Wells Brothers the summer before their senior year and are mentored by seasoned employees throughout the school year.

During their senior year, apprentices develop valuable skills while exploring their career path. Within our electrical, mechanical, construction, line install, and fabrication divisions, apprentices may discover they’re better suited for concrete work than electrical circuits, or find their passion in an entirely different area. This flexibility allows apprentices to find their ideal fit within our organization.
