Safety Training Begins at Day 1
Every Wells Brothers team member starts safety training during orientation and continues learning throughout their entire career with us. Because we believe safety education is ongoing, we conduct refresher training annually at a minimum.
Our proactive approach includes OSHA 10 training taught by our in-house Authorized OSHA Trainers. We maintain safety awareness through daily Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) tools, weekly safety toolbox talks, and comprehensive annual refresher training.
We also empower all employees with Stop Work Authority. Any team member who identifies a safety or health hazard has the authority to stop work, contact their supervisor, and ensure corrective actions are in place before work resumes.
With the unwavering support of the Wells Brothers Ownership and the Leadership Team, each employee knows safety is of the upmost importance. If we encounter an unexpected safety hazard at the jobsite, we stop, evaluate and institute countermeasures to ensure the safety of our employees and our customers.
Proven Safety Excellence
Our commitment to rigorous training has created safety programs that consistently exceed both OSHA and customer requirements. As members of multiple customer-directed contractor management platforms, we undergo annual evaluations of our safety programs and incident data. The results speak to our excellence: our data consistently falls well below industry averages for accidents, and we maintain compliant/recommended contractor status across multiple platforms.

Our signature safety slogan, “Think Safety with Each Step,” came from one of our own. During a company-wide safety competition to find the best safety slogan, one of our construction supervisors created this winning design that now defines our safety culture.
